Benefits of Essential Oils

We visit and consult our physician to support our wellness plan and to provide integrative medical advice, when it is required.

 

Our doctor’s visits since 2014 have reduced significantly since we have embraced a balanced approach to our health. Paul still takes his blood pressure regularly, and has his cholesterol levels taken every six months just to be sure - but with our balanced approach - his results are normal! The eye-opening part for us was that most visits to the doctor prior to 2014, resulted in comments regarding the first six components: Nutrition, Exercise, Sleep, Managed Stress, Reduced Toxic Load and Informed Self Care. Nutrition

Without good nutrition, we are more prone to disease, infection and fatigue. We changed to a balanced diet more than twenty years ago (fruits, vegetables, more fish, nuts and healthy grains). The fact remains that food alone could not provide the necessary nutrients. Exercise

Manage Stress

Our body’s natural ‘fight or flight’ response serves an important role in protecting us. However, prolonged stress works silently behind the scenes to destroy both our physical and emotional health and can compromise our immune system, exposing us to unnecessary illness. Aromatherapy is a widely respected method for reducing stress. Paul uses Frankincense daily to reduce stress, and my go to favorite is a blend called Peace. Reduce Toxicity

We are exposed to toxins which can disrupt our body’s balance, many from sources beyond our control: the air we breathe, water we drink. We focus on ensuring the cleaning products we use to ‘clean’ our home, over-the counter products to ‘fix’ us and make-up we use to beautify are toxin-free. Informed Self Care

Our personal journey began in 2014 when we read the Modern Essentials book (available on Amazon), which made a compelling scientific case, of how essential oils support our body’s own ability to heal itself. This empowered us as parents to address family health issues as they arose, beginning with our son’s weekly migraines, followed by the use of essential oil products to replace medications - eliminating side-affects.
